Robozuna, created by our very own Ed Bignell gears up for launch later this year with some exciting consumer product news. Robozuna is an animated saga which follows 14-year-old Ariston and his homemade robot Mangle as they fight to free their oppressed nation from the evil Corvus Imperium while forging friendships and learning life lessons along the way.
Robozuna is all set to hit the toy shelves next year as ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE) announce that they have signed licensing and distribution deals for our very own animated show!
We are thrilled that Hengxin Shambala Kids (HSK) will be the master toy partner for the property in China. HSK are currently developing a toy line inspired by the series featuring a range of battling robot figures called Combatabots in the show. They will manufacture the toy line which will roll out in Quarter 2 2019, with additional consumer products set to hit shelves in Q3 and Q4 2019.
News closer to home is that Bandai has taken Robozuna as distributor for the action-focused show in the UK. The Netflix Original series will launch globally with the SVOD giant this fall. It will also air with linear broadcasters in the UK. In addition to the series itself, KidsCave Studios has also created short-form content designed to launch through YouTube Kids, apps and gaming in partnership with UK-based Kuato Studios.
KidsCave Studios has been keen to embrace the casting of social media influencers Ethan Gamer and Ali-A who both star in the series and will create online content to supplement the show on their own channels.
